The security element (10) has an imaging element for representing opened image information, and another imaging element for producing encrypted image information. The latter imaging element has two partial areas for producing the encrypted image information in the form of a visually detectable multi-colored image during illumination of the security element by two different colored monochromatic light sources e.g. LED. The partial areas of the latter imaging element are arranged next to each other without overlapping and are illuminated with red, blue and green lights. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a test device for displaying encrypted holographic optical information of a security element (2) a method for real time testing of a security element.
