Producing a stretched, flat adhesive agent with at least a heat activated thermoplastic polymer and optionally at least a carrier, comprises: extruding the heat activated thermoplastics to a thermoplastic, flat adhesive agent, preferably to a thermoplastic film or foil; stretching the flat adhesive agent preferably in machine direction, to a factor of 2, preferably = 4 to 5 or higher relative to the extruded unstretched adhesive agent, where the stretching leads to orientation of polymer chains of the thermoplastic; and obtaining a stretched, flat adhesive agent. Independent claims are included for: (1) the stretched, flat adhesive agent with heat activated thermoplastic polymer and optionally carrier, obtained by the above process, where the melting enthalpy of the extruded and stretched thermoplastics is increased by at least 30%, preferably 50-70% in relation to the corresponding unstretched, extruded thermoplastics; and (2) use of stretched, flat adhesive agent for gluing components, where a stamped product (a form of stretched, flat adhesive agent) is positioned on a component to be glued, preferably a metal-containing component, a pressure and/or heat is applied to increase the adhesion of the stamped product on the component, where the temperature of the adhesive agent remains below the crystallite melting temperature of the thermoplastic and optionally a carrier of the stamped product is separated.
