The method involves warming up a burr (2), and smoothing the warmed up burr by pressing a smoothing roller (4) against the burr and moving the roller and a heat source along the burr on a plastic injection molding part (1) by a robot. The heat source is moved along with the roller in a distance infront of the roller in a direction of the roller, where a hot air blower (3) is used as the heat source. An electronic controller and/or regulator controls and/or regulates contact pressure during burring process.
