The device (1) has a housing (2) including an inlet (3) for supplying polymer materials and an extruder nozzle (4) arranged at a spindle sleeve (5). An annular passage (9) between an orifice (35) and the extruder nozzle is adjustable by an automatic adjusting unit, where the orifice is arranged at the housing. The sleeve has a spherical and/or dome-shaped area (6) that acts as a bearing. The adjusting unit has a hydraulic and/or electric-motorized drive and lies against an area of the sleeve, where the area is turned to the extruder nozzle. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing tubular hollow bodies or casings from polymer materials.
