The element (1) has a heat-insulating, non-combustible material, which is flexible to replaceably fasten a decoration article (5) e.g. rose, on the element by a pin, a nail (6) or by pressing of parts of the article. The element surrounds a combustion insert (2), and an outer side (4) of the element is decorated with the article, where the side is turned towards the combustion insert. The element consists of high temperature wools and fiber material. A control device is provided at the insert and/or at the element, where the element is formed as a profile piece or pipe piece or molded part.
