The solar collector has a composite structure that consists of a collector surface, a heat exchanger and stabilization elements. The stabilization elements are made of fibers, filaments or wires. The solar collector is produced by a textile construction process such as knitting, weaving and purling. A material (A) i.e. carbon, of the collector surface forms an upper side that is connected with a carrier material (C). The heat exchanger consists of capillary tubes, micro-tubes or flexible tubes (B), where medium i.e. water, absorbing heat from the collector is transported through the tube.
