The holding body has a base body (122) and spring-loaded locking elements (124, 126) i.e. locking guide, for locking the device in the sink and/or the worktop. The locking elements are formed with the base body as a single piece. The locking elements are shifted against each other in the insertion direction and a circumferential direction. The holding body is made of plastic material. An independent claim is also included for a method for fixing a tap in a sink and a worktop.
