The retainer (1) has a body shell-lateral end for mounting of retainer in a bodyshell structure of a motor vehicle, and a mounting part-lateral end for mounting of a mounting part i.e. bumper, in the retainer. A wave-like structure is provided in sections within a region between the body shell-lateral end and the mounting part-lateral end. The retainer is integrally formed and manufactured as injection molding part. The retainer is formed from polycarbonate or polyamide. The wave-like structure is designed as a curved band-shaped region.
