The seat (1) has an air bag module (10) that is integrated into a backrest (3) of the seat. A seat cover (18) sheaths the air bag module and an upholstery of the seat. The seat cover has two end pieces comprising supernatant edges. Each supernatant edge has two regions of different widths, where the width of one of the regions is lesser than the width of the other region. The widths of the supernatant edges designate an extension in a plane of the seat cover perpendicularly to extension of a tearing seam (20).
