A method and apparatus for evening out and regulation of the dense flow conveying, pneumatically conveyed with solid fuels in a carburetor for the production of synthesis gas, is to be developed so that a clearly homogenized supply of the coal to the burner is made possible, and the short-term fluctuations is minimized and thus the gasification quality is improved and the regulation of the kohl amounts to the burner is made more effective.This is achieved in that the fine-grained to dustlike fuel from a first receiving vessels are positioned below the burner''s focal plane to a level above the burner''s focal plane and subsequently conveyed in a downwardly directed to the burner line is homogenized.
