The clamping device (10) has a clamping sleeve (32) that extends a seat (34) for supporting a tool unit (12) in axial direction. An ejection element is inserted into a receiver at the lower end of the clamping sleeve in the area of an opening edge of the seat. An axial length of the ejection element is measured such that, it protrudes in the blocking position from the lower end of the clamping sleeve.
