The method involves writing data recorded and stored in real time in two log files (6, 7), where the data is provided with time stamps and is produced for analysis or replication. The data written in the log files is provided for replication of a manufacturing plant behavior of a replication environment (200). An erratic behavior of a manufacturing plant (100) is identified by the replication of the manufacturing plant behavior. A time reference is maintained between various data and is used for future observations. An independent claim is also included for a system for automatic replication of a fault arising in a manufacturing plant.
