The device (1) has two longitudinal frame sections (2) spaced from each other, where longitudinal guides for a movable vehicle i.e. i.e. passenger car, component e.g. sliding roof panel or roof lining part, are arranged at the frame sections. Right and left drive cables are guided to a drive device that is arranged between the guides. The cables are moveable by the drive device. A drive cross-beam (8) extends between the longitudinal frame sections and supports the drive device. The cross-beam has internal cable guides (11, 12) for the drive cables. The cross-beam is decoupled from the device.
