The system has a wireless transmission device comprising a modulator (27) for modulating light transmitted by a light source (19) i.e. white LED. The modulator is connected with an electronic image detection unit for receiving electronic images of an object (25). A photodetector is connected with a LCD display (35) and arranged separately from a microscope base body (1), such that the receiver receives the modulated light. A demodulator (33) is connected with the photodetector and the display, and converts the modulation of an electrical signal into electrical signals used by the display. An independent claim is also included for a method for wireless transmission of electronic images.
