The arrangement (1) has a cylinder head (3) for accommodating a pump component, and a low pressure unit (2) comprising a housing (15). The housing is connected with the cylinder head, and the housing has a recess (19) at a side that is turned towards the cylinder head. A suction valve (11) comprising a spring element is attached to the pump component and provided for filling a pump operating chamber (10) of the pump component with diesel fuel from the recess of the housing.
