The valve has a valve unit (1) controlling fuel i.e. diesel, supply to a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine by moving against flexible force of a spring element (2) that is deformable in an axial direction. The spring element has a ring- or disk-shaped base with radially outer lying spring arms that run in a plane perpendicular to the base. The spring element is arranged between a sealing sleeve (5) and the valve unit such that the spring element rests against a front surface (6) of the sealing sleeve and a spring collar (7) of the valve unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for production of a spring element for a fuel injection valve.
