The shell (10) has a guide element (30) for guiding lubricant, arranged at interior circumference and closing a bearing space between the slide bearing shell and a plain bearing. The guide element is arranged in a lubricant channel (20) that extends over inner circumference of the shell. The guide element includes two contact surfaces contacting with the plain bearing. The guide element is formed of soft, flexible material, and includes a reinforcing element e.g. band and/or strip-shaped element i.e. metal insert, and a sliding layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a slide bearing shell.
