The apparatus has a folding jaw cylinder (21), and a folding knife cylinder (12) provided with holding tools (13) e.g. gripper, and limiting together a delivery gap and/or an interchange point (22). Another folding knife cylinder (17) has holding tools and limits another delivery gap and/or interchange point (23) with the folding jaw cylinder. Cam disks are attached to the folding jaw cylinder for controlling folding jaws (24, 26). The folding jaws are controlled by the cam disks, where distance between the jaws is larger than distance between folding knives (15).
