The method involves calculating a value by a calculation function on an optical recorder i.e. camera phone, which includes detection transaction data and a restricted code i.e. input. An output of the calculated value is provided to the recorder, and the input transaction data to be verified is conformed based on the output for displaying the transaction data on a client processor. The verified transaction data is transmitted from the recorder to a server, and an input value is verified with respect to the transaction data at the server. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for executing a method for manipulation-proof verifying transaction data by a client (2) a computer program product for executing a method for manipulation-proof verifying transaction data by a client.
