The solar flat plate collector has transparent heat insulation (2), where the collector interior space is filled with steam, which condenses at the operating temperature. The steam is sucked by a jet pump (7) from the space behind the absorber surface (4). The jet pump is driven by a propelling steam, which is generated during operation of the sucked steam. The steam sucked by the jet pump, along with the propelling steam emits part of its heat to the evaporator, in a heat exchanger, to produce the propelling steam.
