The traverse (10) has a deflection roller (18), a stop eyelet (24) and a stop point connected to a lifting point (22) of a lifting device i.e. crane, by a load connection unit i.e. rope (16). Length of the load connection unit is changeable between the stop point and the lifting point, where a length of a section of a load connection unit between the lifting point and the stop pivot point is changeable by a length changing device. The length changing device is designed as a rope winch, a hydraulically cylinder (14), a pneumatically actuated lifting cylinder or a spindle drive. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a lifting strap for handling of rotor blades of a wind energy plant, comprising a pulling device (2) a method for assembling or disassembling a rotor of a wind energy plant using a load traverse and a lifting strap for handling of rotor blades.
