The piston machine has two crankshafts (19,20), two piston rods (14,15) and a conjoint piston (2). Both the piston rods conjointly drive the piston by a bearing and a piston bolt (6''). The two crankshafts are driven by electric motors (21,22). The electric motors are regulated in opposite directions to a common speed by an electronic system. The electric motors are formed as synchronous motors or stepper motors or direct current motors.
