Device for handling bio molecules to accomplish immunoassay, has rotary encoder producing relative motion between magnetic force element and channel structure for moving magnetic particles over phase boundary of multiphase flow
The device has a channel structure (20) with separate inlets (22, 24, 26, 28) for producing a multiphase flow. A rotatable magnetic force element i.e. permanent magnet (10), is movable relative to the channel structure. A rotary encoder (12) produces relative motion between the magnetic force element and the channel structure to supply a temporally varying magnetic field to the channel structure for controlling a position of magnetic particles (60) in channel structure sections (30, 40, 50) and for moving the magnetic particles over a phase boundary of the multiphase flow. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a device for handling of bio molecules.
