The method involves raising bubble flow in a fiber suspension (3) by gas-filled flotation bubbles in a flotation container (1), and collecting contaminants in a froth flotation unit (5). The contaminants are exhausted, and turbulences are produced in the fiber suspension by mobile installed components in the flotation container. Affected flow of the fiber suspension is strengthened by the installed components, and the flotation bubbles are led together with the fiber suspension into the flotation container.
