The fitting (10) has a mixer cartridge (9) arranged in a housing body (2) for mixing hot water and cold water. A hot water inlet (6) and a cold water inlet (7) are provided, where a safety temperature limiter (1) is arranged within the housing body between the hot water inlet and the mixer cartridge. The safety temperature limiter is designed as a blocking valve, a temperature regulator or as a mechanical thermostatic valve with an extension element, where the blocking valve blocks the hot water inlet during exceedance of target temperature.
