The cabinet has a detachable snap-fit connection for holding components e.g. base plate, cover plate (12), side wall, frame element (16) and rear wall, of data and/or computer technical devices together. The snap-fit connection has a guide (24) attached to one of the components and a clip (26) attached at the other component, where the guide is lockable in the clip. The guide extends over an entire length of the component, and a locking edge is formed at a front side of the guide. A detachable locking lever is attached to a locking element. An independent claim is also included for a method for connecting components of a safety cabinet.
