The shower has a shower head, and a stream plate, which comprises two separate controllable group of stream discharge openings (5). A switching device is provided for switching between two groups of openings. The openings exhibit an actuating element, which is actuated for switching the openings in uniform manner. The actuating element is designed as a push-button, which is arranged in an area of a passage between the shower head and a handle. The switching device exhibits positions, in which two group of discharge openings are opened and closed.
