The clutch (2) has a clutch inlet and a clutch outlet that are effectively connected with one another by a friction section (14). A permanent magnet (24) is provided for holding the friction section in a switching position, and a damper (12) is provided for holding the friction section in another switching position. The friction section is operated between the switching positions through activation of a coil (26). The friction section is made from ferromagnetic material i.e. steel, and the damper is made from rubber and formed as a single-piece with the friction section.
