The former rail includes carrier area with laterally outward extending axles at which rolls of the roll groups are supported, and/or supports shafts, where the rolls of the roll groups are placed on the supports shafts, so that the rolls are rotatable around rotational axes. A motor for longitudinal adjustment of a motor vehicle i.e. van, seat (1) is arranged directly or indirectly at the former rail.
