The dispenser (F) has a hollow-ball shaped food container (1) enclosing a food up to a food outlet opening (2). The container is rotatably mounted on a holding device (H) around a horizontal axis of rotation (A) such that a center of gravity (S) of the container lies outside of the axis of rotation. The opening is provided above the center of gravity in a rest position of the container. The opening is arranged in a region of the container pointing from a plane (SE) of the center of gravity to the largest perpendicular distance. The container is made of elastic material.
