The device has a supporting contour with supporting elements (3) that are moved on a plastic profile (1) e.g. pipe, toward and away from the supporting contour. The supporting contour exhibits an elastic band (6) partly surrounding the plastic profile. The supporting elements are arranged in a framework (2) surrounding the plastic profile and moved opposite to the framework. A longitudinal axis (L) of a part of the supporting elements cuts on an axis (E) lying parallel to an extruding direction.
