Method for coating the inner surfaces of a glass container comprises relieving the pressure of a sterile vapor as carrier medium in the container, adding a determined amount of silicone oil and/or a water/silicone emulsion to the vapor and precipitating the silicone oil as precipitate on the inner surfaces of the container. An independent claim is also included for a device for coating the inner surfaces of a glass container using the above coating method.
