The collector (10) has circular dust storage units (36, 38) supplied with air flow (16) via an inlet area (14) and arranged in an upper part (32) and a lower part (34), respectively. One of the storage units (38) is arranged at a distance of 10 to 20 mm relative to a transition (44) from the upper part to the lower part. The storage units partially lie at inner walls (46, 48) of the upper part and/or the lower part. The storage units are provided in a plane of a circular path of the air flow and/or in a parallel plane to a plane, which is defined by the path of the air flow. The storage units are made of melamine resin foam or polypropylene fibers.
