The arm has a holding mechanism (3) for a spatula (4), where the mechanism includes a nut. The arm is formed from a bar (2) made of nitinol, which is bendable by hand and is fastenable at a linkage of a retractor system by an attachment mechanism (1). The bar and the spatula inserted into the holding mechanism are fixable by the nut. The inserted spatula is rotatable in all directions around longitudinal and transverse axes. The holding mechanism has a compression spring, which exerts pressure independent of spatula thickness.
