The filter has a filter drum (2) arranged in a cylindrical filter housing (1). Flushing shoes (33, 34) are guided over a conical inner mantle (35) of the filter drum. A circumferential edge (36) of an opening (37) of the flushing shoes is adjusted to a conical form of the filter drum, where the edge is turned towards the inner mantle of the filter drum. A gap (38) is formed at the inner mantle of the filter drum. A central flushing pipe (20) is axially adjusted for adjusting a gap width (39) between the opening edge of the flushing shoes and the inner mantle of the filter drum.
