The device (1) has a receiver (3) with a recess for receiving two boundary regions (13) of flexible flat structures (14) which are connected to each other, where the boundary regions are arranged in an overlapping manner. The boundary regions are connectable with one another by a clamping device (4) that is fixed in the recess in a force-fit manner. The receiver and the clamping device are plastic profiles. The receiver has an u-shaped profile body (6) comprising a flattened profile base (7) and side walls (8) with a bulge-like widened end region (12) protruding into the recess.
