The method involves positioning a screwdriver blade on a turning mechanism, and selecting velocity of a supplying mechanism, contact time of a striking mechanism and the screwdriver blade and turning time of the turning mechanism to adjust layer thickness and layer color of the screwdriver blade. A striking element is placed in contact with the screwdriver blade, and the colored screwdriver blade is removed from the turning mechanism. An independent claim is also included for a device for coloring an identifiable screwdriver blade.
