The hot water storage device comprises capsules for receiving a phase change material (100), where the capsules have a lower half-shell (10) and an upper half-shell (20), which completely surround the phase change material. The upper and lower half-shells are connected with one another by an injection molding and have rotating lugs (11, 21) at their abutting edges, where the lugs are connected with one another by a seam. The capsule has a cylindrical base form with hemispherical front surfaces. The lower part shell is two-third of the height of the capsule. The hot water storage device comprises capsules for receiving a phase change material (100), where the capsules have a lower half-shell (10) and an upper half-shell (20), which completely surround the phase change material. The upper and lower half-shells are connected with one another by an injection molding and have rotating lugs (11, 21) at their abutting edges, where the lugs are connected with one another by a seam. The capsule has a cylindrical base form with hemispherical front surfaces. The lower part shell is two-third of the height of the capsule and the upper part shell is one-third of the height of the capsule. The volumes of the material of the lower and upper half-shells are less than 35% of the total volumes of the capsules. Independent claims are included for: (1) a capsule for receiving a phase change material; and (2) a method for producing a capsule with a surrounded phase change material.
