The method involves fixing secondary hot-plastic polyamide foam on a coat surface of a medium pipe (1) rotating about a longitudinal axis to form a heat insulating layer made of secondary hot-plastic polyamide foam. An outer region of polyamide foam is converted by heating an outer region (14) of the secondary hot-plastic polyamide foam at a fusing temperature in a humidity-isolating monolithic polyamide layer. The secondary hot-plastic polyamide foam is cooled with the humidity-isolating monolithic polyamide layer. An independent claim is also included for a device for encasing of medium pipes, comprising a heating and humidity-insulation layer.
