The method involves analyzing a tablet (10) by utilizing a roentgen projection. A three-dimensional volume model of the tablet is created from an obtained three-dimensional pixel. A layer thickness (d) of a coating (12) is measured at the three-dimensional volume model. A minimum value and an average value of the layer thickness are determined and stored. A false color representation of the volume model is generated, and indicates zones to different layer thicknesses of the coating in different colors. An independent claim is also included for a test specimen for examination of intensity, focusing and an adjustment of X-ray of tomography.
