The device (1) has sound damping elements (6, 7) fastened to building structures (4, 5). One of the elements comprises a closure unit (8) that is directed for repeated releasing and closing of the device. The element is connected with another element along a building column (3) such that the elements lie together in an operating position. The elements are bendable by flexible bearings and/or by material selection after opening of the closure unit in a maintenance position. The elements have a support structure consisting of a rubber sheet, leather, plastic and/or a textile material.
