The method involves directing a light ray (24) on a region of a partial-cylindrical section (18) that is provided in a reflector (12) so as to develop a reflection light ray that runs below a reflection angle. Another light ray (26) is directed on another region of the partial-cylindrical section so as to develop another reflection light ray that runs below another reflection angle. The roll angle (alpha) is calculated from the two reflection angles for deriving the change of two reflection angles. An independent claim is also included for a roll angle measuring device comprising a reflector.
