The system (10) has a set of LEDs (1) provided with an emission spectrum in a wavelength range of 250 nm to 280 nm, and arranged in matrix. An optical component (2) e.g. condenser lens, collects and combines light emitted by the LEDs, such that power density in a container (7) is increased. The optical component is formed from glass i.e. fluoric-phosphate-glass, and exhibits a shape of plano-convex lens (4). The optical component is blank-pressed, and an optical fiber strand i.e. quartz optical fiber, is arranged behind the optical component in a radiation direction.
