Method for controlling intake air quantity of internal-combustion engine of motor vehicle, involves completely closing throttle valve and opening another throttle valve when pre-determined intake air quantity is reduced
The method involves controlling intake air quantity by adjusting two separated controllable throttle valves (7, 8) in two intake air lines (3, 4). One of the two throttle valves is completely closed and the other throttle valve is opened when a pre-determined intake air quantity is reduced. The throttle valves are adjusted synchronously when pre-determined intake air quantity is exceeded. The throttle valves are completely and alternatingly closed during sequential decreasing of the pre-determined intake air quantity. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling intake air quantity of an internal-combustion engine.
