The method involves enriching process gas (2) i.e. air, with particles in a solid-emitting working region (1). The enriched process gas (2') is removed from the working region for processing. The enriched process gas is divided into two partial flows (2.1', 2.2'), where one of the partial flows (2.1') possesses high particle concentration and the other partial flow possesses less particle concentration. The latter partial flow is again supplied to the working region. The former partial flow is supplied to a filter device (3).
