The decoration element has a fixed support plate (10) whose front side (11) and back side are monochromatically coated. A foil plate is completely glued on the front side of the support plate and comprises a back side-side glue layer and a front side-lateral lacquer layer with slots, where the color of the lacquer layer of the foil plate differs from the color of the coating on the front side of the support plate. The support plate supports coatings in different colors on the front side and the back side of the support plate.
