The end cap assembly module (10) has an inserted end cap body with an assembly interface for connecting with a catalyzer (12). Another assembly interface is provided for connecting with an exhaust pipe (14). The inserted end cap body provides a continuous and uninterrupted surface from the former assembly interface to the latter assembly interface. The inserted end cap body consists of cast iron material. An independent claim is also included for a method for forming an end cap assembly module.
