The support (108) has a sensor (204) made of foamed plastic, where a workpiece (103) is arranged on the sensor. The sensor has a recess (208) and a flat surface on a side facing the workpiece, where the workpiece to be measured is attached to the recess. A clamping element e.g. plate (206), made of ferromagnetic material is fastened to a side of the sensor, which is opposite to the workpiece. The workpiece is attached on the flat surface, and the sensor is clamped against a component present below the sensor by the clamping element. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer tomography scanner comprising a detector (2) a method for fastening a workpiece to a workpiece support.
