Method for orientation of prismatic wooden elements in wedge tooth systems, involves moving center of gravity layer back and forth by effect of support friction with diminishing amplitude value until sufficient amplitude value is reached
Method for orientation of prismatic wooden elements in wedge tooth systems, involves moving center of gravity layer back and forth by effect of support friction with diminishing amplitude value until sufficient amplitude value is reached
The method involves providing wooden elements on two bottom layers (2, 3) that are moved against a center orientation level (1) at feed speed. Ends are turned towards the center orientation level and provided with convex curved sections (2a, 3a). The sections are raised according to maximally occurring wood curvature during orientation process. A center of gravity layer is moved back and forth by an effect of support friction with a diminishing amplitude value until a sufficiently small amplitude value is reached. Feed speed of the bottom layers is controlled during orientation. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing a method for orientation of prismatic wooden elements.
