The device has a winding mechanism (3) attached to a lower control platform (4), and a handling mechanism (2). The handling mechanism has a drawing-off roller (15) that is downstream to collective thread guides (12.1-12.4) for collective drawing-off of threads from spin nozzles (8.1-8.4). The roller is arranged laterally adjacent to the collective thread guides above or below an upper control platform (5). The threads are guided parallel to each other with a handling distance at the collective thread guides with partial looping of greater than 45 degree and at the periphery of the roller. An independent claim is also included for a method for guiding threads during melt-spinning and rolling up process.
